Multi-Point Density Array
VEGA Americas is proud to offer the solution for fixed point interface profiling measurements, the Multi-Point Density Array (MDA). Providing high resolution and an unparalleled method of measuring interfaces - especially those with emulsion layers - the MDA is designed to operate in the most difficult of applications.
|
|
Applications
Processes with smaller vessel dimensions, high temperature, emulsion layer of varying thickness and low maintenance requirements are perfect for the VEGA MDA System. These applications include desalters, free water knock-out drums, seperators and treaters in the oil and gas industries, where the processing of heavy crude creates more emulsion in these vessels. The MDA is also applicable in other interface applications where emulsions are present.

Please join us on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 to learn more about VEGA Americas' Multi-Point Density Array and interface measurements on difficult emulsion processes.

Mark Smithdorf, President Heavy Oil Consulting Services Ltd.
Mark Smithdorf, the Founder & President of Heavy Oil
Consulting Services Ltd., is a well known figure in Calgary and a leading
specialist in the design and optimization of SAGD surface facilities &
operations.
Mark has been directly involved in hundreds of crude oil
facility designs throughout the world both onshore and offshore. Almost every SAGD surface facility design in
Alberta’s oilsands has been influenced by Mark’s experience and input. His expertise is sought after by many
countries that are developing their heavy oil reserves, which up until recently
were thought to be too difficult to exploit.
Since early in Mark’s career, he has contributed to R&D activities
in order to further develop concepts first tested in the late 1960’s &
70’s. Mark has travelled to almost every
oil producing nation on the planet and has hands on experience with the
equipment and facilities that he designed.
His knowledge and experience is second to none when it comes to the design,
operation, optimization and rationalization of upstream processing of heavy
crude and bitumen.
